Who Has to Be in the Room When We Talk About Digital Risk?

A government official, a bank CISO, a security vendor and a startup founder. That was the line-up for the keynote panel StrongKeep CEO Gaurav Keerthi moderated at GovWare 2026, part of Singapore International Cyber Week. Each sees digital risk from a different seat, which was the point of putting them on one stage.

The GovWare 2026 keynote panel on stage, moderated by Gaurav Keerthi, with Jack Chan, Cezary Piekarski and Lt Gen Michelle McGuinness
Session: "The Future of Cybersecurity: Navigating Risk, Resilience, and Trust in the Digital Age"

Who Was on the Keynote Panel?

Gaurav moderated. The panellists were:

  • Lt Gen Michelle McGuinness, Australia's National Cyber Security Coordinator, National Office of Cyber Security
  • Cezary Piekarski, Group CISO, Standard Chartered
  • Jack Chan, Global VP of Product Management and Field CTO for APAC, Fortinet

The discussion covered digital sovereignty and global interdependence, the growing sophistication of AI-driven attacks, and what it takes to build trusted, resilient digital ecosystems. A small-business security company does not often share that stage. We think it matters that someone in those conversations asks what each decision means for a business with no security team.

What Else Happened at GovWare 2026?

Beyond the keynote, StrongKeep was part of the opening ceremony, and Gaurav spoke on several other panels and side events through the week. Our booth sat in the CyberSG pavilion at F01, where visitors came to find out how to help a friend or family member who runs a small business and worries about hackers and scammers.

Our biggest takeaway from the week was the size of the problem we have chosen: getting smaller businesses secured, at scale. The challenge we set ourselves is to make cybersecurity simple, affordable and accessible, so that

"...a nurse on her lunch break can pay us online and get everything sorted out before her nasi lemak gets cold."
